Nestlé saves Snow Brand

Swiss dairy giant Nestle is considering a business alliance with Japanese firm Snow Brand. The partnership, should it proceed, would trade Nestle’s technological expertise for Snow Brand’s strong market penetration, but would not involve any exchange of equity.

Snow Brand would benefit greatly from association with a respected firm like Nestle since a massive food poisoning outbreak in June hit consumer confidence in the Japanese company, as well as its profits.
