Singleton’s Dairy
Singleton’s Dairy of Preston, UK, has scooped first prize in the Frozen & Chilled Exporter category at Food from Britain’s 1998 Export Awards.
Over the last three years, export sales at Singleton’s have increased by 280%. They now account for some 20% of the company’s overall sales. The dairy sells a range of traditional British cheeses and milks. Its five most significant markets are the USA, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Canada.
Food from Britain said it was particularly impressed by the way in which Singleton’s staff undergo intensive language training in German, Spanish and French in an effort to enhance the company’s attractiveness in overseas markets.
