Sycamore Process Engineering secures whey processing contract

Sycamore Process Engineering has secured a major contract to deliver an end-to-end whey processing facility for a European dairy cooperative. This bespoke whey processing system will feature: whey pasteurisation and separation, whey cream pasteurisation, product storage and routing, membrane filtration, and clean-in-place (CIP) systems.

The combination of these process solutions will allow the customer to expand its production of high-quality whey for use throughout the nutrition industry. It also supports sustainability goals, by targets for minimising water and energy consumption, aligning with environmental targets for a more sustainable production process.

Sycamore is also cooperating with membrane filtration partners Wafilin Systems. Wafilin’s membrane technology will be integrated into the overall solution. “We’re thrilled to partner with a forward-thinking dairy cooperative and work collaboratively with our partners Wafilin Systems to deliver an innovative and sustainable solution. This project represents a significant step forward for Sycamore Process Engineering,” said Paul Manning, business development and commercial director at Sycamore Process Engineering.
