SalzburgMilch, a dairy company in Austria, is the first company in Europe to commercially produce on a SIG DomeMini 12 aseptic filling line. It is now launching two of its most popular children’s beverages, Alex (chocolate milk) and Lisa (vanilla milk) in SIG DomeMini, an on-the-go carton bottle. Additional on‑the‑go products are already in development and are expected to be launched in the coming months.
SIG DomeMini combines the protective, environmental and logistical benefits of a carton pack with the convenience of a bottle in the UHT format. For consumers, it offers on-the-go convenience due to its large, centrally positioned closure, and the package is also easy to open, reseal and store, SIG notes. The aseptic filling line is capable of filling 12,000 packages per hour across seven volume sizes (180 to 350ml) on the same filling machine, with a volume change in 15 minutes.
In 2025, SalzburgMilch processed 344 million kg of milk, including over 203 million kg of so-called “special milk” varieties, such as organic, hay, or organic hay milk. In addition to producing SalzburgMilch branded products as well as various private labels, SalzburgMilch also acts as a contract filler for a range of dairy products, as well as plant-based alternatives.
