Sycamore Process Engineering has announced the official opening of its new manufacturing facility, marking a major milestone in the continued growth and development of the business. The purpose-built workshop strengthens Sycamore’s ability to deliver high-quality, end-to-end process solutions while supporting its commitment to providing complete Engineering Peace of Mind. As demand for integrated, high-performance systems continues to grow, the investment will help the business meet current requirements and scale confidently for the future.
Designed around efficiency and quality, the new facility provides a more streamlined and productive manufacturing environment. The workshop supports smarter workflows through a new Kone overhead girder crane with a safe working load of three tonnes, a dedicated fully equipped polishing bay and expanded stores that increase on-site capacity for critical components. An improved layout, better material handling and closer integration between design and manufacturing will create a more connected operation, helping to reduce delays and enabling teams to work with greater speed and accuracy.
The facility will also deliver direct benefits for customers. With 17,000 square feet of additional capacity, projects will be able to progress more smoothly, while allowing multiple projects to move forward in parallel. Enhanced build conditions and upgraded equipment will support tighter tolerances, greater consistency and improved overall system performance, helping to ensure every solution leaving the facility meets the high standards customers expect.
Safety was a key consideration in the development of the new workshop. Improved working conditions, better use of space and modern infrastructure provide a safer, more controlled environment for Sycamore’s teams, protecting employees while supporting the quality and reliability of every system delivered.
The new workshop reflects Sycamore’s continued focus on safety, combining improved working conditions, more effective use of space and modern infrastructure to create a secure, controlled environment. These improvements will protect teams while strengthening the quality and reliability of the systems delivered.
“This new manufacturing and stores facility is a major step forward for the business and a clear investment in our future growth. It’s a significant milestone which will give us the capacity, capability and control we need while continuing to deliver the quality and reliability our customers expect,” says Jerry Redman, managing director.
Beyond the additional physical space, the new facility represents a step forward in how Sycamore operates. It will support closer collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and project delivery teams, enabling a more integrated approach from concept through to installation. By bringing these capabilities together in a purpose-built environment, Sycamore will be able to reduce risk, improve communication and deliver more predictable outcomes for customers, the company says.
