With the re-opening of its 10th direct sales outlet for cheese and other dairy products, the Bavarian processor Allgouland-Koserei has confirmed its position as leading direct marketer among German processors.

So far, the dairy has 10 retail outlets. The Allgouland dairy store at Sonthofen near Kempten has been enlarged and redesigned in Alpine chalet style with a full range of products processed in the dairy’s seven plants. The target, according to Allgouland board chairman Heinz Lipp, is to continue to give customers extra service with the outlets, and also to achieve above-average return through direct marketing of premium quality products.

Allgƒ¤uland processes 590 million kilograms of milk annually and produces 33,600 tons of hard and slicing cheeses, almost 20,000 tons of cream cheeses and 157,000 tons of drinking milk and other fresh milk products.
