Dairy Crest axes 100 jobs

The UK’s biggest milk and cheese producer, which is behind brands such as Frijj, Country Life and Utterly Butterly, has axed around 100 jobs after warning that that its full-year profit will be about 10% below last year.

It blames tougher trading conditions, weaker dairy ingredients markets and delays in selling surplus property.
However, Dairy Crest has managed to meet forecasts
