Blended cheesemaker to be sold?
Ilchester Cheese, the maker of blended cheeses, could be about to change hands, according to a report in The Telegraph.
Buyout firm Inflexion has appointed advisers PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) to carry out a strategic review of the Somerset-based cheese making business.
The cheese company has a 50-strong product range, including Applewood, Five Counties and Mexicana, and was the first business in Britain to blend cheeses with other ingredients in 1962. It was bought by its management and Inflexion in 2004.
