The Board of Glanbia, the international cheese and nutritional ingredients group, has elected Liam Herlihy as chairman. He succeeds Michael Walsh, who has retired as chairman and director of the company.

Herlihy has been vice chairman of the Board since 2001. He has also been appointed chairman of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited.
The Board also elected John Fitzgerald as vice chairman of the Board
in succession to Herlihy.
