The European Commission will not raise objections to the integration of French dairy groups Sodiaal and Entremont Alliance as it “will not significantly impede competition in the common market”.

The deal, agreed in July, includes operations producing baby food formulas and milk ingredients, as well as nutritional and dietetic products. The companies’ sites in Doullens in the north of France and Montauban, in the south-west of the country, will be the production units for the venture.
