Wincanton wins Dairy Crest contract in UK

The UK logistics service provider Wincanton has won a renewal of its transport contract with Dairy Crest in the country. The three-year, £60 million contract is to provide milk collection and delivery throughout the UK, International Transport Journal reports. The renewal with Dairy Crest will run until 2015, by which time Wincanton will have been the company’s delivery partner for 21 years. Wincanton uses 100 vehicles and approximately 230 drivers to collect milk from over 600 farms across the South of England and Wales, for delivery to four major Dairy Crest dairies.
