Synlait and Westland add capacity

Synlait Milk has added $32 million towards increasing milk drying capacity at its Dunsandel plant in New Zealand. Similarly, Westland Milk Products has said it will invest $102 million on a new infant formula dryer in Hokitika, New Zealand, plus additional warehousing, a new laboratory and a packing line. Both companies say the improvements are to help supply the growing market demand in the region, particularly China.
