First yogurt from Arla Foods

Arla Foods is launching Arla Skyr into the UK market as part of the company’s expansion into the yogurt category. Skyr, a fat free, reduced sugar and high protein Icelandic style yogurt, is the first yogurt launched by the company.
Arla Skyr is available in 450g pots in three flavour variants; Simply Natural, Mixed with Strawberry or Mixed with Honey and in 150g pots in five flavour variants; Simply Natural, Layered with Nordic Sour Cherry, Layered with Strawberry, Layered with Apple & Lingonberry and Layered with Nordic Mixed Berries. 150g pots will be priced at 85p and 450g at £1.69.
Stuart Ibberson, category director, Arla Foods UK, says, “Following fast on the heels of Arla Protein, we are excited to be launching our first Icelandic style yogurt in the UK. It is a healthy and delicious tasting yogurt and we feel that consumers will really value its healthy and nutritional credentials making it the first ‘super yogurt.’ It’s high in protein, is fat free, has 30 per cent less sugar than similar products and it tastes fantastic!”
