A2 prosecuted
AUSTRALIA – A2 Dairy Marketing, has pleaded guilty to six charges that it made misleading claims alleging health benefits of its products over regular dairy products.
Queensland Health successfully argued that claims made by A2 Dairy Marketers that A2 milk was more beneficial to consumers’ health than regular milk were likely to mislead consumers.
It has been fined for breaching the Food Standards Code and for misleading consumers.
Industry organisation Dairy Australia has welcomed the news, saying that Australian dairy farmers will be reassured by the finding.
