GERMANY – As of November this year, all cheeses sold in Germany will be required to be labelled with a warning that they contain milk components and can therefore cause food allergy problems.

The decision has caused outrage among cheese producers, who are now having to consider the extra expense of printing the labels, despite, they say, the fact that it is so obvious that milk is used to make cheese.
