Glanbia sales slump a necessary evil

IRELAND – Glanbia’s decision to offload operations in order to focus on added-value products has led to a massive drop in sales, but the company believes the move will pay off in the longer term.

In Ireland the company is focusing on such value-added brands as Supermilk on the Go and its milk-based functional drink Milk Plus. The company said that such nutritional product innovations would now be core to the business.
