TURKEY – Group Danone has agreed the purchase of Nestle’s Turkish dairy operations for an undisclosed sum.

The move will double Danone’s sales revenues in the country, and includes the fresh dairy products business as well as Nestle’s UHT milk business.

Danone will acquire the local Mis trademark, and Nestle products will be integrated into its portfolio.

Danone has also taken full control of its previous operations in Turkey by buying a 50% shareholding from Turkish company Sabanci. Sabanci had been a partner since 1997.
