UK farmers blockade dairies

UK – Militant farming group Farmers for Action (FFA) has begun blockading processors today in protest of low milk prices.

Sites of processors Dairy Crest and Robert Wiseman, companies which FFA claims are to blame for low prices, are being targeted in the action. The group has said that protests will spread beyond an initial six sites if demands are not met. It also claims that the protests are part of a “long and concerted campaign, not a one off”.
