MDC to launch cheese marketing campaign as UK schools get milk bars

UK – The Milk Development Council (MDC), which developed the ‘White Stuff’ milk marketing campaign, is launching a cheese marketing campaign.

The drive will be called ‘Say Cheese’ and will start before the end of the month. The MDC has also said that it is to continue the ‘White Stuff’ campaign, even though the Dairy Industry Federation (DIF) pulled its funding from the promotion.
The MDC announced last week that it is to roll out school milk bars in England and Wales in conjunction with First Milk. The bars aim to increase milk consumption.

A similar scheme has been running for 18 years in Scotland, and milk consumption amongst the young is 25% higher here than in the rest of the UK.
