Yoplait adds organic yogurts in Canada

French-based global brand Yoplait continues its policy of investment in dairy markets by the takeover of a Canadian dairy specialising in organically produced yogurts. Liberte dairy from Quebec, Canada, holds what this company describes as a strategic position in the Canadian market. Sales in 2009 totalled the equivalent of EUR131.3 million. More important for Yoplait’s aims, market reports indicate that annual growth of sales by Liberte have averaged 12% for the past seven years.
