Glanbia names new CFO as Garvey retires

Glanbia says that Mark Garvey will retire from the group following 13 years as chief financial officer (CFO). He will step down as CFO and from the Glanbia board on 30 March 2027 and will retire from the group on 30 April 2027.

Wendy Chang Smith, currently chief digital and transformation officer, will be appointed Glanbia CFO and an executive director on the company’s board on 31 March 2027. With immediate effect, she takes on the role of CFO designate of Glanbia.

Chang Smith was previously CFO of Glanbia’s performance nutrition segment. Before joining Glanbia in 2020, she held senior finance positions with Amazon, Kellogg, Johnson & Johnson and Proctor & Gamble, working in the US, Europe and Asia. She holds a Bachelor of Science (mathematics) and an MBA (finance) from Brigham Young University in the US.
