Founded in 1970, BIPEA is a European scientific organization whose mission is to support laboratories in the continuous improvement of their analytical performance.

It offers a comprehensive range of services dedicated to analytical quality, including more than 250 Regular Proficiency Testing Schemes, Customized Proficiency Tests, Reference Materials (RM/CRM/ERM), as well as technical and practice-based training courses.

Operating in more than 130 countries worldwide, BIPEA’s services span various fields, including cereals (grain, milling, feed), agro-industry (including dairy, food, and beverages), environment (water, soils, sludges), cosmetics (sunscreens, essential oils, perfumes), and pharmaceuticals.

Regular participation in BIPEA proficiency testing schemes allows laboratories worldwide to assess the reliability of their analytical methods equally as results. Additionally, BIPEA’s services were designed to offer laboratories an accessible opportunity to improve the efficiency of routine laboratory processes, improve the functioning of laboratory equipment, upskill technical staff and continually meet stringent industry standards.
