Fonterra names Bromell as head for its Australian operations
New Zealand dairy giant has named Simon Bromell as the managing director of Fonterra Ingredients Australia. He replaces Bruce Donnison who has moved to the newly-created role of Fonterra’s sustainability general manager for its New Zealand and Australian operations.
Bromell now has responsibility for seven dairy manufacturing sites in Victoria and Tasmania, Fonterra’s milk supply arrangements with 1500 Australian farmers and Fonterra’s ingredients sales and export program in Australia. According to Fonterra, Bromell has more than 20 years experience in the food and agriculture sector, joining Fonterra about 12 months ago from Mars where he worked for a decade. Donnison was also recently nominated for the board of Dairy Australia. Both are based at Fonterra Australia’s corporate centre near Melbourne.
