Unilever adds Diplom-Is of Denmark

Unilever has improved its presence in Denmark with the purchase of Diplom-Is, a producer of ice cream for the amusement park and ice cream bars segment of the market. The firm signed an asset purchase agreement with Norwegian dairy group Tine for an undisclosed sum. Diplom-Is employs 30 people and has five local distribution centers.
