Sweden based Lindahl dairy is being sued for false representation.
The private dairy specialises in a wide range of Turkish recipe yogurts which are marketed throughout Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Unfortunately, the company chose photographs of a Greek “farmer” to support labelling and advertising of the Turkish yogurt range. Now, with his face becoming well known and labelled as Turkish over Sweden, Norway and Finland, the man has decided to sue Lindahl dairy for around EUR1.2 million for false representation.
A 40-page indictment has been presented to the dairy. Lindahl management claim the company is innocent as it simply bought a licence to use the photograph from a Swedish photo agency, which had mixed up the nationality of the model.
