FrieslandCampina has teamed up with a major fruit merchant in an effort to deliver the complete snack package to schools throughout Holland.

The Dutch dairy co-operative is one of the country’s most important suppliers of fresh milk products to schoolchildren under a government subsidised programme in the country.
It has now reached an agreement with major fruit merchant Fruitmaster, which means that selected plastic single-portion containers of fruit ready-sliced for consumption are being delivered along with approved milk products to primary schools.
FrieslandCampina will be delivering to some 3,000 primary schools throughout the Netherlands this year, supplying milk products for a total of 110,000 children.
Free fruit and vegetables have been available for a number of years in Dutch primary schools through government programmes. But this is believed to be the first time that a major dairy and fruit merchant have teamed up to deliver a complete school snack package.
