Fonterra looks to Echuca factory growth

Dairy giant Fonterra is already looking to increase production at its newly-acquired yogurt and dessert factory in Echuca, Australia.

Fonterra spokesman Brad Voss says the factory – formerly owned by Nestle – is not currently producing to maximum capacity.

“Nestle has strong brands in the dairy dessert and yogurt market,” he says. “From now on, Fonterra will be manufacturing those products and, through a licence agreement with Nestle, marketing them across the country.”
