Excitement builds for the Expo

Here at Bell Towers, as we unofficially call the office, we are excited about the autumn, even as spring and summer are just getting into full swing.

The global dairy industry will converge at NAEC Stoneleigh for a two-day exhibition dedicated to dairy processing, our Dairy Industries Expo, on 29-30 October. This international event will bring together dairy professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and industry experts to explore the latest advancements in dairy processing technology, sustainability and market trends.

Now already in its third edition, Dairy Industries Expo 2025 is set to be the most successful event yet, building on the momentum of previous years. Dairy Industries Expo 2025 will serve as a hub for innovation, offering attendees the opportunity to discover new processing techniques, equipment and solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of the dairy industry. From automated processing systems to packaging solutions, sustainability initiatives and food safety innovations, the event will provide invaluable insights into the future of dairy production. Exhibitors include pumps manufacturer Watson Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, and educational centres such as the University of Strathclyde.

Keynote speakers include Magdalena Raykova, a Research Fellow at the University of Strathclyde and the entrepreneurial lead of Rapisense. Magdalena has recently achieved a PhD from the Civil and Environmental Engineering department specifically focused upon the development of the electrochemical biosensor for detection of contaminants in milk. Rapisense is a future product of her research currently on a commercialisation journey in dairy industry practices.

Additionally, the University of Strathclyde is thrilled to announce its participation in the Dairy Industries Expo 2025, where the team will showcase its advanced technology for rapid detection of milk contaminants on Stand E. Visitors will gain valuable insights into cutting-edge academic research in the dairy space, with opportunities for collaborations and knowledge exchange. Rapisense invites industry professionals, stakeholders, and researchers to explore how Rapisense’s rapid detection solutions can elevate milk safety and quality control.

Another keynote is the new Society of Dairy Technology‘s president Mike Pinches, who is an experienced manager with a history of success and a proven record of both technical sales and business management. A leader with a high level of technical knowledge coupled with creative aptitude and determination to succeed. He has worked for many years in the ingredients supply industry and witnessed consistent and continuous improvements in a commercial focused career.
