German merger makes dairies top 10

Entry into the top ten of German dairies with a wider product range starting January 2008 is the result of the Bayerische Milchindustrie (BMI) merger with Milchwerke Mainfranken (MWM).

Both are cooperatives in south eastern Germany with BMI processing 750 million kg milk and 1,800m kg whey in ten plants and the three-plant MWM
