Zimbabwe’s dairy industry could face collapse
Farmers in Zimbabwe are failing to transport milk worth millions to processors due to severe fuel shortages triggered by the government’s controversial price blitz.
At a joint crisis meeting of the National Dairy Farmers Association (NADF) and Cattle Producers Association, dairy farmers said they feared they might soon be forced out of business.
The National Dairy Co-operative, which collects the milk from farmers, has reportedly grounded most of its fleet because of the country’s worsening fuel crisis.
