Major changes mooted for Nordmilch

Within the next year, Germany’s largest milk processor is to divest its milk drinks, yogurt and dairy dessert production in a streamlining programme that is expected to see the number of products marketed reduced by around one third.

Nordmilch will then concentrate on its lucrative cheese production branch, as well as possibly placing added emphasis on whey and its products, according to the dairy’s chief executive officer Dr Josef Schwaiger, quoted in the German press.
