Former Milk Link execs buy Crediton Dairy in UK

Several former members of the management team of Milk Link in the UK are set to purchase Crediton Dairy milk drinks from Arla Foods. Neil Kennedy, former Milk Link chief executive, says, “The management team believes that Crediton Dairy is well positioned to play an important role in the fast growing and dynamic milk drinks sector.” Former Milk Link Group finance director Tim Smiddy notes, “Ideally located in one of the country’s largest milk fields, the business will benefit from a milk supply agreement with Arla and in the longer terms we will seek to recruit our own dedicatedgroup of farmers.”

The dairy will continue to produce long life milk brand Moo, flavoured milk brands such as Mars Family Refuel chocolate milk and Dairy Pride long life milk and creams for the food service sector. On completion of the purchase, Kennedy will be the chairman of the new business, while Smiddy will be the managing director.
