Polish dairy group Bakoma has bought back a majority stake of its own shares from rival Danone as it eyes growth in probiotic market.

Danone has revealed it decided to sell back the shares as its role in Bakoma wasn’t satisfactory. The company failed to secure deciding vote in shareholder meetings and wasn’t able to pursue its own agenda. Bakoma is one of the leading producers of probiotic yogurts as well as cheese and milk products.
