Stonyfield makes yogurt pearls

Stonyfield in the US has introduced Frozen Yogurt Pearls, which are enclosed in packaging that doesn’t use plastic. In fact, the packaging itself is edible. The frozen yogurts are made of scoops of Stonyfield organic yogurt encased in all-natural skins. Shoppers will be able to buy them in pre-packed cellulose sacks or over the counter, decanted into any containers customers bring in, at Whole Foods Market stores. They are being launched first in several Massachusetts locations in the US. The skins are made from organic fruit using a patent-pending technology from WikiFoods. Flavours include peach and vanilla, banana and vanilla, and banana and chocolate.
