Milk deliveries in Austria for the last European Union quota year were exceeded by 99,988 tons, which will lead to a total levy of approximately €27.8 million, according to preliminary estimates from Agrar Markt Austria. The Austrian authorities set the number as 10.6% of exceeded delivery to define whether a producer will be taxed with the basic levy. This has been set at €7.19 per 100 kg. The super levy at €17.98 per 100 kg will be for those producers that exceeded the quota by more than 10.6%. The newest figures from Agrar Markt Austria show that milk deliveries so far have been 5.4% higher than the beginning of the last quota year.
