Emmi Roth USA expands in NY

Emmi Roth USA, a producer of speciality cheeses and dairy products, is expanding operations and creating another 50 new jobs in upstate New York. Emmi Penn Yan produces Siggi’s brand yogurt, as well as bag-in-box milk and creamers for food service dispensers. The company’s $11.6 million (€8.6m) multi-year investment includes hiring and attracting new investment focused on food processing. New York state surpassed California in 2012 as the US leader in yogurt production. The dairy industry is New York’s leading agricultural sector, accounting for more than one-half of total agricultural receipts.
