World Cheese Awards 2015 open for entry

Entries are now open for the World Cheese Awards (Thursday 26 – Sunday 29 November) and this year’s competition is set to attract a record number of cheese makers.
The awards are dedicated only to cheese and it is an opportunity for small artisan producers to spotlight their cheese on a world stage.
John Ferrand, managing director of the guild of Fine Food, says, “With cheeses from across six continents and 30 different countries entering in 2014, the world cheese awards is truly a global cheese experience. This year we are anticipating close to 3,000 entries, which will be judged at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham’s NEC.
“Once again, we have invited cheese experts from around the globe, bringing together 250 like minded people who are entriely focused on finding the world’s finest cheese.”
The awards judging will commence on Thursday 26 November, all entries will be whittled down to the top 60 in one afternoon. The 16 best cheeses will be voted for by a final juding panel later in the afternoon, when the champion will be crowned.
The World Cheese Awards is open for entry from Friday 11 September until Sunday 18 October, and can be accessed at www.gff.co.uk/wca
