Emmi is introducing a system inspired by the Dutch dairy Friesland Campina. In a letter to its suppliers, Swiss dairy Emmi announced that a decrease in milk supplied, compared to the previous month will be paid with a bonus of 10 rappen per kilo. The measure is limited to the months of March and April. A premium for 50% of the amount of the previous months will be paid at a maximum. No compensation will be given when milk production is abandoned.

Recently, the Swiss Milk Producers (SMP) had called for production to be decreased by 3%. Emmi and all their delivery organizations support the SMP call, it says.
