UK – Northern Ireland’s Mauds Ice Creams took the Champion of Champions prize at the National Ice Cream Competition this week.

The company won with its raspberry pavlova flavoured ice cream. The competition was held at the Ice Cream Alliance (ICA) show at the Harrogate International Centre.

The ICA’s Karen Beattie said that she was delighted with entries to this year’s competition. “The quality has been excellent,” she said. “The difference in quality between the top ten ice creams tiny – these people really do have great products.” Winner of the strawberry flavour ice cream class was Scotland’s Luvians while Needwood Farmhouse Ice Cream won the mint choc chip class.
