Benecol milk launched

FINLAND – Valio has launched a milk drink to its cholesterol lowering Benecol range.

As with other Benecol products, the milk drink contains a plant sterol licensed from the Raisio group and it joins Valio’s existing Gefilus milk on Finnish shelves.

The company claims that the Benecol milk drink tastes like fresh milk and is the only cholesterol lowering milk drink on the market that tastes like fresh milk, contains no additives, and is fortified with vitamin D. The recommended daily dose is two to three glasses.

Benecol milk is an extended shelf life product and contains 1% milk fat and 3% rapeseed oil. It is produced at Valio’s Jyv
