The German dairy Gropper has invested in the expansion of its main location in Bissingen, with the opening of a new canteen, more office space and changing rooms.

This expansion was necessary, as the company has grown in recent years. More than 650 employees now work at the Bissingen site.

In addition Gropper is currently planning an expansion of the existing high bay warehouse in order to create more space and flexibility for intensive production phases.

“In 2016 we have achieved a lot: in Bissingen alone we have filled one billion units, but the intensive utilisation in production demands a lot from our employees and our location, so we are working consistently to the satisfaction of our employees and a high performance production”, says owner Heinrich Gropper.

By expanding the high bay warehouse to a length of 65 meters, a width of 23 meters and a height of 29 meters Gropper creates space for an additional 5,177 pallets.

The application for that building project has already been approved by the municipal council in Bissingen. This investment will cost the sum of approximately £6 million (€7m).
