Frischpack buys Baackes & Heimes in Germany

Frischpack in Germany has taken over Baackes & Heimes from Viersen.

The companies are now working together in the processing and packaging of cheese products into pieces, slices, grated cheese and dices.

Baackes & Heimes will continue to act as an independent subsidiary of Frischpack in the market.  It is managed by the former managing director Stefan Welter and by Frischpack managing director Marian Heinz, who also assumes the role of the “speaker of the management” of the new Frischpack group.

Manfred Heimes, the former Baackes & Heimes owner, will continue to play an active role in the Frischpack Group as a new shareholder, the firms say.

Together with Baackes & Heimes, Frischpack Group now generates sales of approximately €250 million and processes up to 60,000 tonnes of cheese.
