DMK plant to close

In response to reduced milk volumes, dairy group Deutsches Milchkontor (DMK) plans to close the plant in Bad Bibra in 2018. The products manufactured site are to be transferred to other DMK plants.

“The milk volume at Bad Bibra has been declining for years. This means that our plant cannot work efficiently in the long term. A shift in production is therefore the only viable way to ensure profitability in the whole company as a basis for a competitive milk payment to our farmers,” states Klaus A. Hein, managing director of Deutsches Milchkontor.
