GERMANY/RUSSIA – The opening of Hochland’s cheese plant at Raos, Moscow marks two years of intensive development by one of Europe’s largest producers, and has not come cheap.

The plant has its own power supply and is already in production, with some 200 staff working three shifts around the clock to produce mainly processed cheese products.

The new plant is very similar to its predecessor at home in Bavaria, which has also undergone refitting and expansion worth
