Elopak buys SIG’s Fresh Gable

UK – Elopak has completed the purchase of SIG Combibloc’s UK based fresh gable top Business.

SIG, a major systems supplier of aseptic beverage cartons and filling machines, has sold the branch following 20 years of production.

During that time it has manufactured and supplied Bowpak and Quadrobloc gable top cartons throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Elopak currently has over 55% share in the European gable top market, and this acquisition will further strengthen its position.
