Glanbia sells UK foodservice distribution business

UK / IRELAND – Irish dairy company Glanbia has announced this week that it is to sell its Glanbia Food Service distribution business to Peter’s Food Service.

Glanbia managing director John Moloney said that the deal, which is expected to complete in early August, follows a decision to withdraw from the foodservice business and concentrate on core activities.

Glanbia Food Service distributes chilled and fresh food products around the UK from a central facility in Tamworth, Staffordshire and eight regional depots.
