IRELAND – The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has launched new labelling guidance this week.

The ‘Labelling of Food in Ireland 2002’ report includes special sections on dairy product labelling. The publication brings together all labelling laws and regulations in Ireland.

Included in the report are precise definitions of dairy and dairy-based products. It also sets out certain terms, including ‘milk’ and ‘milk products’.

The report also gives information relating to the labelling with regard to ingredients, additives, storage instructions, nutritional labelling, and genetically modified foods.

A full copy of the report is available from www.fsai.ie.
