Moody Direct develops Dairy Technology training course

Moody Direct has developed an industry specific dairy technology training course to meet the needs of dairy manufacturers in the UK and worldwide.

The Dairy Technology course will provide an overview of the dairy industry as a whole, ideal for anyone looking to either begin processing raw milk, produce new products or would like to know more about dairy production as a whole. This could be anyone from a young dairy farmer taking over the family business to an engineer new to the industry.

Those who attend this course will develop an overall understanding of the dairy process from start to finish. It will also touch on general fault finding, efficiencies and cleaning procedures.

Course Overview

The course will start by looking at the composition of milk and a brief overview of the initial means of processing raw milk. It will then look in more detail about how pasteurised milk, or milk fat, can be processed to create new products such as; cheese, milk powder, cream, yoghurt, butter/dairy spreads, butter milk and ice cream.

Finally, the course will look at efficiencies in a dairy processing plant by examining services such as steam, compressed air, effluent and water. The course is theory based with activities and tasks undertaken throughout to aid understanding.

Moody Direct training courses are held at its state-of-the-art training facility in Retford, Nottinghamshire. See below upcoming courses and scheduled dates.
