Virtual Cheese Awards to take place in July
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, most cheese awards and shows around the country can no longer be held safely. Therefore, Nigel Pooley and Sarah de Wit have decided to launch the world’s first Virtual Cheese Awards, taking place on Saturday 18 July 2020.
Pooley and de Wit are both passionate about the cheese industry, have a great love of cheese awards and share a focus of continuous improvement.
There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available for the virtual awards and the event is intended to be a real celebration of the cheese industry, as well as an opportunity to raise awareness of the specialist British cheese producers who have suffered through the current crisis. All profits from the Virtual Cheese Awards will be donated to charities supporting these dairies, makers and farmers.
