Nomadic responds to rise in breakfast occasions with new bircher flavours

Yogurt maker, Nomadic Dairy, has added two new flavours to its best-selling Breakfast Bircher range. With an increase in the number of Brits consuming breakfast products, the launch of the Raspberry and Vanilla Birchers offer consumers even more choice for the breakfast occasion.

The products will be available in over 300 Asda stores from the end of August, priced £1.30/140g pot and available as part of the 4 for £3 promotion. Both flavours will be exclusive to the retailer until the end of the year.

The Birchers, made with rolled oats and soaked in Nomadic’s live yogurt from Co. Donegal, are combined with delicious raspberries or vanilla. The pots are also a great source of protein, perfect for breakfast or as a balanced snack throughout the day, according to the company.

This follows the recent launch of Nomadic’s Chocolate & Vanilla Breakfast Bircher, which is now also available as part of Sainsbury’s Meal Deal.

Breakfast remains an important part of the category and is the fastest growing sub-category in Chilled Yogurts & Desserts. Nomadic continues to lead the way in Breakfast, with 68% share and as the No.1 Bircher Muesli brand, Nomadic feel confident that these two new flavours will continue to deliver both value and volume growth for the category.

Bethan Miles, brand manager at Nomadic said: “With breakfast occasions on the rise, health remains a key focus and consumers are choosing yogurt, oats and fruit as their top three ingredients. Everything our Birchers include. Yet, we know that taste is something they are not willing to compromise on when it comes to a healthy breakfast. Our delicious Breakfast Bircher offers shoppers a balance of great taste and nourishment. Not only are they a great way to start the day, they are a perfect snacking choice to keep you going throughout your busy day.”
